In the article there are funny points, but out of context they would not be. One example of something that is funny in context is when the author is talking about your dad should go out with his mom, and if she is too old or dead, that it is not your fault, but he will still try to blackmail you. This is an example of satire in the story. This article is satirical because this does sometimes happen in real life, but it is also exaggerated and absurd. I think he was trying to be funny in the paragraph about acting like a baby, but it did not work for me, and it ended up looking stupid, not funny. Also, the paragraph at the end where he wishes his mom was 20 feet tall was more disturbing and creepy than funny. The front side is more realistic and a bit more funny than the back. The reason the front is more realistic is there are grains of truth in is.
